Description
Summary:This is an exploratory and descriptive research, with qualitative and quantitative approaches and has as its aim analyzing the effects of the ludic activities in the recuperation of patients admitted to an urgency and emergency hospital, trauma victims, stimulating children’s learning through ludic activities and helping in the cognitive development of children in hospital and in their recuperation. The data collection was held in January 2003, through a participative observation with the children and half-structured interview with the companions. The content was analysed having as a theoretical reference the pioneers of the children’s school development theory. The results showed that the ludic value has a very significant meaning to all children, mainly to the ones that are in a hospital bed, deprived of going to school and of the satisfaction of the companions in taking part into the learning process.
