The significance of this research lies in considering the psychological factor which is an important and effective one in achieving accurate scoring.
The problem of the research considers how far the psychological factor can affect football players, since football is one of the most popular games. The research aims at arriving at the relation of psychological hesitation with the scoring skill in football. In order to achieve that, a specimen of twenty two players in non-random sampling method of Kadhimiya Club team of primer division out of thirty, was selected. The rate was 73% of the source community. The researcher applied the descriptive approach in a survey method since it is the most appropriate for this type of research.
The researcher concluded that there is a variance in level between the psychological hesitation and accurate scoring for the football players and that there is no significant difference between the psychological hesitation and accurate scoring due to lack of attention to the psychological aspect.
The researcher recommended that psychological preparation is essential during the training program.
