It has been found that these vortices cause a significant reduction in the intensity of the <inline-formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><semantics><mrow><msup><mrow><mo>|</mo><mi>T</mi><mo>|</mo></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></semantics></math></inline-formula> distribution in the low-energy region of the ECC cusp, leading to a considerable distortion that facilitates its experimental determination. Furthermore, the analysis shows that one of the vortices coincides with the Thomas angle (a parameter coming from the classical ion-electron Thomas mechanism). |
