Description
Summary:The heterogeneous photo-Fenton (HPF) system was developed to removal Rhodamine B (Rh B) with glucose modified and reduced CuFeO2 (CFO) catalysts. The influence of reducing agent amount, synthesis temperature and calcination temperature on synthesis and catalytic performance of CuFeO2 was explored in detail. Notably, the CFO-5 exhibited the highest catalytic performance, achieving a 99.25 % removal of Rh B after reaction 120 min. Furthermore, CFO-5 also exhibited good repeatability and stability for Rh B degradation and the removal rate of Rh B remained at 93.54 % after five cycles of degradation. Finally, the mechanism of CuFeO2 photocatalytic degradation of Rh B was clarified through experiments for quenching free radicals, analyses using XPS and ESR, and the potential practicability of Vis/H2O2/CuFeO2 system was evaluated.
