| Summary: | This article reports on fieldwork carried out between 2021 and 2024 during six trips sufficiently spread out in time for photographs to be taken documenting the forms produced during the construction of the new city of Tracy Hills and the pace of this construction work in the northern part of California’s Central Valley at the gateway to the San Francisco Bay. In a dialogue with New Topographics this body of photographs raises the question of the sustainability of the landscape project that Tracy Hills represents and of the difference between it and the State of California’s commitment to the climate. An overview of the photographic work is available online: https://yogan-muller.com/Tracy-Hills. |
