Summary:Background: Knowledge sharing is crucial for managing knowledge and the success of knowledge management programs. While extensively studied in business organizations, research in academic institutions remains limited, particularly in the Philippines. This study examines knowledge-sharing behaviors among educators in the Philippines and its determinants. Methods: The study employed a descriptive-correlational design using a survey questionnaire developed. Respondent-educators were selected through simple random sampling from elementary, secondary, and higher education institutions in Negros Island in central Philippines. The association between the knowledge-sharing behavior and its determinants was determined using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Results: 254 educators participated in the study. These educators regularly engage in knowledge-sharing behaviors and promote the dissemination of ideas. These behaviors are determined by different factors and an organizational climate that nurtures idea exchange. There is a significant association between knowledge-sharing behavior and its determinants. Conclusion: Institutions are encouraged to foster broader knowledge-sharing practices by leveraging the positive organizational climate, addressing barriers, and promoting collaboration across institutions.
