Description
Summary:In this paper, the natural cooling process of a 1 000 MW ultra-supercritical steam turbine is analyzed and its natural cooling time is determined. A rapid cooling scheme, which inhales air from the boiler, is designed. Based on the scheme, the rapid cooling of the steam turbine is successfully carried out, verifying the feasibility of the scheme. The results show that the rapid cooling can save a time of about 7 days compared with the natural cooling; meanwhile, to adopt the scheme of inhaling air from the boiler, the difference between the air temperature and the IP rotor temperature must be considered when determining the rapid cooling of the IP cylinder.
