Description
Summary:By the separation of aerosols from air an improved separation efficiency can be obtained by condensation effects in wet scrubbers. The investigations carried out in a test plant show that in the air-vapour-aerosol-mixture supersaturated by injection of vapour (mean diameter of the aerosol particles 0,84 μm) in the venturi separator above all an essential increased separation of the smallest aerosol particles can be obtained. This effect is especially because of the grow-up of the particles by extension of the condensed vapour and partly by turbulent agglomeration.
