Description
Summary:Power quality problems of negative sequence current, voltage fluctuation and low power factor in traction power supply system are caused by the high-speed electric railway’s unique power mode and complex operating conditions of electric locomotives. Based on the traction substation with V/v connection transformer, a power quality comprehensive control device with active power transfer was developed on the basis of the secondary windings of step-down transformer multiplexing and some back-to-back H-bridge power units in parallel. The main circuit topology, operating principle and equivalent electrical model were analyzed. Moreover, the reference value calculation of active current, reactive current, harmonic and decoupling control method based on dq were discussed. After the operation of equipments in a traction substation, three-phase voltage and current of 110 kV side keep the same phase, voltage fluctuation is small, voltage unbalance is about 0.2%, system power factor is increased to 0.95. The results verify that the equipment’s main circuit parameters, control and protection system are accurate and feasible.
