| Summary: | German doctors, both who were educated abroad and those who obtained a diploma in Russia, played a great role in a development of Russian health care and science. Authors describe the history of the first German doctors’ arriving in Russia, introduce stages of a new tradition establishment – inviting foreigners to work as royal doctors, mention a role of Germans in a professional medical societies’ foundation. Authors show a great volume of a professional and social work of Russian doctors, Germans by birth, country regions, taking Nizhny Novgorod region as an example. Besides, there is said what relations did German doctors have with aborigines. |
