Summary:The high frequency, high temperature and high voltage characteristics of SiC devices bring system application advantages to the design of urban rail traction system, but also bring some application challenges. According to the characteristics of SiC devices, the influence of application of SiC devices in urban rail traction system on traction converter, traction motor and control mode was analyzed, and the design and experiment of SiC traction converter were expounded. The ground test results showed that the design of SiC traction system for urban rail transit was reasonable, which could meet the practical application requirements.
