description Aim: The aim of this bibliometric analysis was to identify the characteristics of the publications that have listed the most-cited articles in endodontics. Methods: An electronic search was carried out by three researchers on the PubMed database in May 2024. In the selected articles, bibliographical data related to author, year, institution, country, journal of publication, journal accessibility, topic, keywords, databases, and number of articles were retrieved and analyzed. Further evaluation of the selected data was performed using MS Excel and VOSviewer. Results: Among the 16 articles included, the year with the most publications was 2021 (n = 4, 25%); the International Endodontic Journal (n = 5, 31%) and Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics (n = 3, 18.75%) highlighted as the journals with the highest quantity of publications. The authors with the most contributions were Paras Ahmad (n = 4, 25%) and Paul Dummer (n = 4, 25%). Malaysia (n = 3, 18.7%), Brazil (n = 2, 12.5%), and Turkey (n = 2, 12.5%) were the leading countries and Universiti Sains Malaysia (n = 3, 18.75%) was the institution with the highest number of publications. General endodontics was the most recurrent topic (n = 7, 43.75%), followed by vital pulp therapy (n = 2, 12.5%). Web of Science (n = 13, 81.25%) and Scopus (n = 8, 50%) were the most used databases. Among the keywords, the most used were “bibliometrics” and “endodontics.” Conclusion: This bibliometric analysis revealed the characteristics of the publications that have listed the most-cited articles in endodontics.
