description This article aims to introduce, and to train, teachers to the phonological exploitation of a literary text in FLS (French as Foreign Language) classroom. Through two texts of different literary genre, a poem and a short story, we propose practical means, accompanied by pedagogical advices, which would allow teachers to introduce the literary text into their language class. In this article, we focus on the receptive competence (identification and discrimination of phonemes, rhythm, etc.) by means of Paul Verlaine’s poem and the competence of reading by means of Marguerite Yourcenar’s short story.
