| Summary: | Partial nitrification of ammonia-containing wastewater can save energy and reduce cost, and has become one of the hotspots in the research of biological nitrogen removal from wastewater. The principle of partial nitrification and the merits of a new process based on that principle were analyzed, effects of the controlling conditions such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, free ammonia and sludge age were discussed, and some new processes for partial nitrification were presented. |
