Description
Summary:Sudan Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor x.) is one of the most widespread and important cereal crops in the world, playing an important role in the food, technical and economic sector. The sowing of sorghum was conducted in experimental plots. The Turkestan district, in collaboration with the Turkestan State Variety Testing Station (SVTS), and the Tolebi district conducted a study of sorghum as a leading fodder crop. The agronomic techniques employed in the field experiments are generally in accordance with the recommendations for farming systems in the South Kazakhstan region, with the exception of the methods of cultivation that were the subject of the study. The experiment was conducted in four replicates on three different sowing dates. The sowing process comprises a series of obligatory stages. The simultaneous application of diammonium phosphate and the planting of the seed is a requisite step. It is imperative that the 2,4-D herbicide is applied immediately following the sowing process, specifically when the sorghum plant has developed between three and six leaves. The most optimal results in the cultivation of the crop are achieved through the implementation of deep winter ploughing of the plot.
