Summary:Theoretical basis of effective removal of moisture from beet pulp by pressing before drying is given in the article. A scheme of a sulfide installation introduced in a number of enterprises of the industry is presented, and energy-economic calculation of its application is performed. The expected economic efficiency due to an increase in the yield of sugar, an increase in the degree of pulp compaction and a decrease in the consumption of conventional fuel will amount to about 2800 thousand rubles for every 100 thousand tons of processed sugar beet.
