The influence of nonionic ammonia and mercury on the isozymes LDH and G6PDG of serum and anterior kidney from the immunized grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus Cuvier et Valencinnes)

| Summary: | The grass carp were exposed to the water containing 0.5 mg/L NH3 and 1.2 mg/L Hg2+ for 2 weeks, then its serum and anterior kidney were used to the poly acrylamid gel electrophoresis for analyzing isozymes, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH). The results showed that NH3 effects were mainly in anterior kidney, which expressed the B gene mainly or had still five bands but the activity of bands was changed; and that the bands expressed fewer for G6PDH in both components. Hg2+ effect on LDH was chiefly quantity increasing of LDH1 and LDH2 in anterior kidney, yet G6PDH bands were decreased from 12 to 8 in serum and 9 in anterior kidney respectively, which hinted the isozyme gene expression was inhibited to some extent. |
