Description
Summary:This article presents the principles underpinning the modelling of CogMemo, a bilingual (French and English) thesaurus for the cognitive psychology of human memory, based on Semantic Web technologies and standards. The aims of CogMemo are to gather, formalize, standardize, disambiguate and organize the terminology in this area, with particular focus on memory systems and processes, the phenomenology of memories, study methods, measurements, empirical effects, theories, models and memory disorders. Suggestions are made as to possible uses for CogMemo. The difficulties of constructing this terminological repository, and its current limitations and future development, are also discussed.
