Description
Summary:In forensic medical damage identification, common cases of medical malpractice include missed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, improper treatment, and failure to fulfill the duty of care. The primary cause is the lack of integrated medical knowledge structures and holistic medical thinking among clinicians. To date, effective methods for integrating and holistic medical education and continuing education have yet to be established. Based on the evidence advantages of the core forensic work, evidence collection, evidence-based reasoning, and argumentation, this study proposes a holistic-integrative medical approach using the structured thinking model of medical death certification aligned with the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). Each medical damage identification case incorporates the holistic-integrative medical concepts of time-space perspective, causality, and quantification, which can serve as typical case materials for establishing integrative medical knowledge structures and cultivating holistic medical thinking in medical students and clinicians. This approach offers practical and innovative insights for advancing comprehensive reform in clinical medical education.
