| Summary: | The article describes the Navigator of information resources on social Sciences (NIRON), created at the Institute of information on social Sciences of RAS. NIRON includes about 3 thousand names of information resources created in FANO/RAS institutions. NIRON includes descriptions of both traditional resources (libraries, archives, museums, periodicals, conference proceedings, etc.) and modern digital resources (electronic libraries, websites, databases, information systems, media resources, etc.). A practical typology of resources based on the structure and functionality of resources is proposed. NIRON provides the ability to search for and present resources by organizational aliation, by structural typology, as well as by subject on the basis of the GRNTI( rubricator). The prospects for the development of NIRON, primarily in relation to the possibility of creating a Single Russian electronic space of knowledge, are considered. |
