| Summary: | Lymphoedema cases increase in proportion to the progressiveness of cancer diseases and extensiveness of lymphatic chain intervention. Usually the patient will suffer functional disability of the
involved extremity and decreases his quality of life. Medical
Rehabilitation will help restoration and preservation of the
involved extremity and also palliate the symptoms caused by
edema. In retrospective study (1999-2001), 50% of visited
patients in medical rehabilitation clinic experienced 50% reduction of the edema within 1-2 weeks therapy. The result indicated
that there were significant decrease at four locations of the lymphoedema measurements. |
