Description
Summary:Abstract:  This research aims to illuminate the pivotal role that media plays in elevating the stature of the Arabic language and safeguarding its security among its speakers. Media institutions are identified as critical enablers that can uphold and implement language policies. This study proposes a strategic framework aimed at refining the Arab media environment by eradicating detrimental influences that compromise the integrity of the Arabic language and impede its preservation, particularly amid the challenges posed by linguistic globalization. This globalization seeks the predominance of certain languages over others and is coupled with the phenomenon of language hybridization which has historically impacted Arabic through various epochs. The paper delves into the intricate relationship between language planning and the assurance of linguistic security, emphasizing methodologies that can transform Arab media platforms into robust instruments for linguistic empowerment. Furthermore, it assesses the challenges confronting Arabic linguistic security, particularly in its interplay with the media.  Keywords: Linguistic Security, Language Planning, Linguistic Protection, Multilingualism, Arab Media.
