Summary:Urolithiasis occupies a leading position in the structure of diseases of the urinary system. The morbidity rates of urolithiasis directly related to the quality of drinking water are analyzed. The excess of silicon compounds in drinking water is considered a risk factor for the development of urolithiasis in the population. A new comprehensive approach is proposed for studying the influence of the mineral composition of drinking water, in particular, the content of silicon compounds in water sources, on the frequency of urolithiasis.
