Summary:The catalytic activity in the decomposition of H2O2 is compared for several 3d-metal ion-phthalocyanine 4,4',4'',4'''- tetrasulfonates. Catalytically active complexes are those containing CoII, CoIII, or FeIII; the NiII and CuII complexes are inactive. As known from the literature the respective complexes with MnII, or ZnII are also inactive. The conditions (electronic configuration, coordination number) for obtaining catalytically active complexes are discussed shortly.
