description This paper discusses the dynamics of vegetation canopies reflectance with view zenith angles and vegetation canopies structure. The results show that: ① vegetation canopy reflectance increases with increasing off-nadir view angle for all azimuth directions. For a sparse canopy, the backscattering characteristics is more evidence. With the increasing of leaf area index, the vegetation bidirectional reflectance is more constant. ② The backscattering characteristics is more evident in visible bands than in nir bands. ③ Vegetation bidirectional reflectance is azimuthally symmetric. ④ The reflectance is highest in backscattering direction and lowest in forwardscattering direction.
