For this reason, experimental archaeology has become increasingly popular in academic programmes, with masters and PhDs being offered on the subject at several universities in the United Kingdom, as well as being taught as a study unit within the undergraduate degree programme. These programmes not only provide a hands-on approach for interacting with archaeological material, but also give students grounded knowledge on past technologies. |
