| Summary: | This text presents the special issue of the Pessoa Plural journal on films based on the life and works of Fernando Pessoa. Its starting point was to react to the scarcity of critical studies on the subject. A vast corpus of films and film documents inspired by Pessoa’s life and works is revealed, covering various genres and historical periods. The dossier is presented, text by text. Issue 25 brings together articles, critical analyses, scripts, set photographs, and other materials. The emergence of a new field of study under a multiplicity of approaches is highlighted. The dossier aims to stimulate research and reflection on the cinematic universe surrounding Pessoa. |
