Description
Summary:At present, the researches on the intergranular corrosion performance of UNS N08811 has less been reported. Herein, double loop - electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation (DL - EPR) method was used to study the susceptibility of intergranular corrosion on UNS N08811 alloy. Through studying the effects of medium composition, test temperature, scanning rate and passivation retrace potential, the optimum test parameters (0.5 mol/L H2SO4 and 0.005 mol/L KSCN for solution composition, 30 oC for solution temperature, 6 V/h for scan rate, and 0.4 V for passivation retrace potential) were determined. Subsequently, the susceptibility of intergranular corrosion on UNS N08811 alloy at different sensitization time was investigated by the optimized DL - EPR method and the chemical immersion test. All results showed that the intergranular corrosion susceptibility of UNS N08811 alloy increased with the increase of sensitization time. Meanwhile, the optimized DL - EPR method could evaluate the intergranular corrosion susceptibility of UNS N08811 alloy quickly and quantitatively with high reproducibility.
