| description | Aims: The aim of the current research is to identify proactive personality, self-empowerment, and creative self-efficacy.
Methodology: The research sample consisted of 400 male and female students from the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Ibn al-Haytham. To achieve the aims of the current research, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach. The researcher also created a questionnaire to measure the proactive personality based on the definition (Bateman & Crant, 1993). The questionnaire consisted of (24) items with five-point scale items according to the Likert scale. The discriminatory power of the items and the validity of the item (internal consistency) was applied. The face validity was also extracted by presenting the scale items to a jury consisted of (16) experts. The scale obtained the approval of all the jury. The statistical analysis also showed that Cronbach alpha was (0.86). The researcher also prepared a self-empowerment scale based on the definition of Rogers (et al., 1997). The scale consisted of (20) five-point scale items according to a Likert scale. The discriminatory power of the items and the validity of the items (internal consistency) were verified. The statistical analysis also showed that Cronbach alpha was (0.76). Finally, the researcher adopted Abbott's Creative Self-Efficacy Scale (Abbott, 2010), which was translated by (Flih, 2018) and prepared for the Iraqi environment. The scale in its final form consists of (21) five-point scale items according to a Likert scale. The psychometric properties of the scale were verified. Results: After analyzing the data, the results showed that the participants possessed a high level of the three research variables (proactive personality, self-empowerment, and creative self-efficacy). The results also showed that there is significant between the three variables. |
