| Summary: | The internationalization of science and scientists has been the subject of growing interest during the last two decades, and especially within the communities of “non-hegemonic” countries concerned about the low incidence of their publications on the global agenda. Indeed academic globalization generated a dominant evaluative culture based on the preponderance of the article in the English language, which spread in a north-south direction. This has given rise to a system of publications in which the share of knowledge produced in peripheral countries and more specifically that of SSH in these countries is minimal. However, beyond this “mainstream” system, other paths of internationalization evolved and local languages are still resilient. The purpose of this article is to analyze the trajectories of the SSH researchers at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), the most internationalized sector of the Argentine scientific field, in order to understand the circulation of their production regarding languages, circuits and countries, along with the weight of national publication. |
