Description
Summary:The analysis of human force conditions in grain silo burial accidents is of great significance for emergency rescue and the development of protective devices. Using the discrete element method (DEM), the software EDEM was used to conduct a numerical simulation of the human body’s force conditions during grain silo burial accidents. The simulation was based on grain particle characteristics, silo entrapment accident features, and grain particle flow properties, with models developed and simulation parameters set accordingly. By coupling with multi-body dynamics software, a coupled dynamic model was constructed to simulate grain movement processes and analyze the surface forces acting on the human body. The simulation results indicate that the impact force on the human body varies with the grain falling height, showing a trend of increasing force with height. For grains falling from the same height, the impact force follows the order: wheat > corn > rice., which is related to the particle density.
