Description
Summary:Epoxy resin coatings are widely used in the field of material surface protection due to their good adhesion and excellent mechanical properties.Silicone-modified epoxy resin coatings can improve the toughness, hydrophobicity, corrosion resistance and anti-friction and antiwear properties of epoxy resin while retaining its own properties.First, this article reviewed the previous research on the different types of silicone chemically modified epoxy resins, including polydimethylsiloxane-modified epoxy resin, silane coupling agent-modified epoxy resin and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) modified epoxy resin.Combined with the widespread application of epoxy resin nanocomposite coatings, this article summarized the latest research progress and applications of synergistic modification of epoxy resin coatings with silicone and nanoparticles in the fields of superhydrophobicity, corrosion resistance and friction reduction and wear resistance were summarized, and the mechanism of silicone in epoxy resin composite coatings was further explored. At last, this article pointed out that the research on silicone-modified epoxy resin coatings should focus on the synergistic effect between silicone and nanoparticles, as well as the performance regulation of multifunctional coatings.
