O fenômeno da migração não é recente na história humana, porém vem se vivenciando um paradoxo cada vez mais evidente no qual o direito internacional prega a proteção aos direitos humanos no processo de migração e os Estados soberanos se utilizam de suas normas para a sua proteção e segurança nacional, colocando em xeque os direitos inerentes a pessoa humana.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Palavras-chave:</strong> Migração Internacional, Direitos Humanos, Segurança Nacional.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In the present article will treat the process of migration in the American continent with special focus on the Brazilian State.
