Description
Summary:In this study, zero-valent iron loaded onto carbon nanotubes was synthesized as a nano-adsorbent, and its morphology was investigated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The effectiveness of the nano-adsorbent for the decolorization and removal of the reactive orange 122 dye pollutant was examined. The optimization of operating variables, including the amount of nano-adsorbent, the initial concentration of the dye, and the pH, was conducted using an experimental design based on response surface methodology (the Box–Behnken method). The maximum removal efficiency under optimal conditions was 86.16%. Through variance analysis, the most influential parameter was identified. A model for predicting the removal efficiency was developed using multivariate regression analysis.
