| Summary: | The experiment was conducted to study the effects of yeast nucleic acid on growth performance and carcass composition of broiler chicks. Three hundred and twenty Avian commercial broiler chicks were randomly allotted to four groups by weight and sex, which received corn-soybean diet supplemented with 0 (control group), 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2% (w/w) yeast nucleic acid respectively. At the end of feeding experiment, sixteen chicks in each group were selected based on similar live weight and slaughtered to determine carcass composition. The results indicated that yeast nucleic acid improved average daily gain by 5.92%-7.36% (P<0.05). In contrast to control, 0.05% yeast nucleic acid treated group increased percentage of dissected pancreas and glandular stomach by 21.16% and 45.75% (P<0.05) respectively. No significant effects of yeast nucleic acid on carcass composition and weights of other organs were found. |
