Summary: | In order to obtain thin layers on the surface of some metallic materials, in fields such as
implantology, two methods were mainly used: pulsed laser deposition and matrix-assisted pulsed
laser evaporation. As the first method cannot always be used successfully in the case of organic /
polymeric materials, so that thermal or chemical decomposition is minimal, the matrix-assisted
pulsed laser evaporation technique is used. Compared to the PLD method, the MAPLE technique
is a less aggressive option. |
