In the fifteenth century hijri, the Muslim ummah was witness to the entry of an outstanding exegesis, the TasnÐm, which follows a methodology that is comprehensive, integral, and assiduously interpretive (ijtihÁdi). To explain, the methodology employed in this exegesis of the QurÞÁn is both textual (i.e. intra-QurÁnic and traditional) as well as based on reason (i.e. using rational demonstration), while including such tendencies as the properly intellectual (or cognitive), ethical, and social. |
