Description
Summary:DANCER AND CHESS PLAYER IN A WORLD OF WORDS This article is devoted to Andrzej Lewandowski, a translator from Toruń born in 1937, a doctor of mathematics, an outstanding chess player, and a lover of Italy, music, and mountains, among other things. His path to the world of translation spanned 64 years. It also focuses on one of the authors that he translated, Ivan Kozlov, a man who climbed the ranks of an official career, a lover of dancing and elegant clothes, and someone who entered the world of poetry at the age of 42. Both were, to some extent, guided onto literary paths by illness.
