Summary:Entrustable professional activities (EPAs) play a vital role in the assessment of professionalism by defining specific expectations for professional behavior that a medical student must perform. Professionalism is a vital competency that needs to be acquired by all medical students for a successful and effective clinical practice. Professional behavior accounts for building trust with patients, which in turn ensures their safety and reduction in the number of adverse effects. The use of EPAs as a tool for the assessment of professionalism is a structured and objective way to comprehensively evaluate and encourage students to become better.
