Summary:The presence of eucalyptus gall wasp Leptocybe invasa Fischer & La Salle (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) was recorded in Mexico for the first time. This pest of quarantine importance so far has been observed only in the northern part of Mexico City attacking Eucalyptus camaldulensis at 2,240 masl. E. camaldulensis, used in urban wooded areas of this city, had an incidence of 2.6 %; infestation level was 27% on branches and 25% on petioles and leaves.
