description This paper probes into the problem of increasing number of Covid-19 infected persons in the North West Region of Cameroon despite the prescription of several barrier measures by the World Health Organization and the Cameroon government. In the same light, it analyses various strategies of stakeholders in the 19 Health Districts toward the fight against the pandemic. Data for the study were gotten from primary sources (field investigation, interview and empirical observation) and from secondary sources (statistical retrieving and documentary research) which were later treated with the input mask and Excel software. The results revealed that the migratory movement of the population, socio-cultural context of the area and the ongoing socio-political crisis are some of the root causes of the spread of the virus. Stakeholders’ participation in the fight against corona virus is yet to meet expectations since negligence, ignorance and socio-cultural believes have gained the minds of the population. Consequently, some of the repercussions are increase number of deaths, loss of family ties and increase unemployment rates. Now therefore, community participation of all stakeholders would be as a panacea to eradicating Covid-19 in the North West Region of Cameroon.
