Description
Summary:Abstract A new species of the pseudophasmatid stick insect genus IsagorasStål, 1875 is described based on a single male from the Atlantic Forest of Marliéria, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Isagoras peregrinus sp. nov. is one of the few micropterous species of Isagoras, from which it can be separated by morphological differences in the head, thorax and terminalia. The internal male genitalia of the new species is also illustrated and described. Furthermore, I synonymize Isagoras franciscoveraiMurcia & Cadena-Castañeda, 2023 syn. nov. under Isagoras pygmaeus (Redtenbacher, 1906), which is only known from Bogotá, Colombia.
