STRATEGIES FOR OPTIMIZING SPATIAL ORIENTATION IN THE INSTRUCTIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN PUPILS AGED 6-10 YEARS

| description | Spatial awareness with a focus on surfaces, levels, directions and trajectories in students is very important and this is achieved through exercises in which the use of space and the development of place awareness are central. The experiment was carried out on a group of 200 male and female primary school pupils (6-10 years old), divided into two groups. The experimental group, consisting of 100 pupils and the control group of 100 pupils. They were divided into two categories: class 1-2 and class 3-4. Spatial orientation was assessed using the Piaget -Head test. A 7-week intervention plan was applied to develop spatial orientation. Our study indicates that there are statistically significant differences between the control and intervention groups in thegirls' group (grade 3-4) on the Piaget Test, F (1, 52) = 4.43; p < .05, partial η2 = .08. No significant differences were recorded for the remaining age groups. The application of the 7-week intervention plan was not sufficient for the development of spatiotemporal orientation. |
