description The purpose of this study is to determine the short and long-term effects of seafood production variables, including capture fisheries production, aquaculture production and trade in the fisheries sector on Indonesia's economic growth. This is necessary because seafood products have great benefits, especially in fulfilling the nutritional needs for the population. This research was based on the time series data of uses an explanatory quantitative approach with the vector error correction model (VECM) analysis technique. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from BPS, World Bank, FAO, and OECD. Through the Johansen Cointegration Test in the VECM analysis technique, it is shown the long-term and short-term effects of seafood production variables on Indonesia's economic growth. The results showed that the variable capture fisheries production and aquaculture production had short-term and long-term effects on Indonesia's economic growth. However, the international trade variable in the fisheries sector only has a short-term effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Government needs to increase expenditure to build better infrastructure and fishing technology can be achieved through better facilities and greater financial support for Indonesian fishermen to improve the fishing industry. Recommendations for improvements in these areas have been made.
