description Objective: To report the use of intravitreal clindamycin and dexamethasone in the treatment of juxtapapillary toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis. Methods: This is a case report. Results: A 34-year-old female was diagnosed serologically and clinically with juxtapapillary toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis in the left eye and treated with intravitreal injection of clindamycin 1.0 mg in 0.1 mL and 4.0 mg of dexamethasone in 0.1 mL. Treatment with oral trimethoprim/ sulfamethoxazole 160/800 mg was continued for 6 weeks. The primary outcome measures were change in Snellen visual acuity, resolution of inflammation, pre- and posttreatment fluorescein angiograms, and adverse events. Conclusion: Intravitreal injection of clindamycin and dexamethasone was well tolerated and associated with resolution of vitreous and optic-nerve inflammation, offering an additional option in the treatment of juxtapapillary toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis.
