Method: The population of the study, which preferred a qualitative research design, consisted of nurses who worked in a public hospital between January and March 2024, actively cared for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, and volunteered to participate in the research. Purposive sampling method was used in the research. Data were collected by face-to-face in-depth interviews. Content analysis method was applied to analyze the data. Ethical principles have been complied with.
Results: In the research where 15 nurses participated, their average age was 31.2 (SD=6.5) years and their nursing experience was 9.2 (SD=6.6) years. 685 codes, 12 categories and 6 themes were created regarding the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on nurses. These themes; effects on working life, psychological effects, social effects, physical effects, effects on family life and economic effects.
Conclusion: It has been determined that the COVID-19 pandemic has many positive and negative effects on nurses' working lives, family lives, psychological, social, physical and economic areas. |
