The incidence of breast cancer has been increasing over the past decades around the world. This paper reviewed the studies about origins and development of training and practice for specialist breast nurses. A brief analysis and summary about importance, role and training methods were given in the paper, in order to provide reference for establishment of training system for specialist breast nurses in China.
