Description
Summary:This work proposes a process for a bio-based hydrogel suitable for 3D-printing formulation. The components of the hydrogel are sodium alginate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, and calcium sulfate. Changes in the rheology of hydrogels based on alginate cross-linked with calcium released from calcium sulfate are reported for further use in 3D printing. The effect of the total or partial reaction of the compounds on the microscopic morphology and, consequently, on the rheometric behavior is studied.
