Summary:In recent times, Research misconduct is one of the most important issuesin the scientific arena. Hence, the current study tried to shed light on thisphenomenon and the extent of its spread in the Arab world, through the ArabRetracted articles. We found 416 scholarly publications retracted. Although theyaccount for 0.027% of all articles published,The rate of retraction is rising. The most common reason to retract wasPlagiarism (25%). Retractions due to Redundant Publication account for thesecond largest (23%). Retractions in the medical literature were highest (29%).The largest proportion of Retractions was issued by the publishers & Editors(68%).
