Description
Summary:In the present paper, we highlight the value of heritage communication as a means of presenting and raising awareness of Amazigh symbols as a cultural identity for tourists and as a tool of passing these symbols forward to visitors to Béjaïa. For this purpose, we conducted a series of interviews with communicators from official bodies such as the Directorate of Culture and the Directorate of Tourism of Béjaïa, to understand the nature of their communication practices in promoting the Amazigh symbols of Béjaïa. This research contribution theoretically adopts Jean Davallon approach, which focuses on enhancing heritage and tourism resources and their tourism and economic exploitation.
